Vera Agaji is an applied geographer, spatial analyst, and human rights advocate leading the Environmental Justice and Gender portfolio at the Initiative for Human Rights and Gender Awareness (IHRGA). Holding both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Geography, Vera combines advanced spatial analysis, territorial mapping, and environmental vulnerability modeling with intersectional gender advocacy.
At IHRGA, Vera drives evidence-based strategies to address the disproportionate impacts of climate degradation, deforestation, and unregulated resource extraction on women and marginalized communities. Her work anchors spatial science into policy reform, ensuring that environmental governance directly serves community human rights and gender equity.

A development and communications professional with experience in project coordination, implementation, advocacy, strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and digital media. As Project and Communications Lead at IHRGA, She supports the design and delivery of initiatives advancing human rights, gender equality, women’s empowerment and leadership, climate and environmental action, digital inclusion, and the prevention of gender-based violence. Keziah contribute to programme visibility, community engagement, documentation, and impact communication, with a strong interest in creating inclusive, sustainable, and community-driven solutions.

Saa-aungwa Kristine Ikpa is a professional psychologist, researcher, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) specialist operating at the intersection of climate justice, gender-based violence (GBV), and feminist healing. As the Mental Health, Research, and M&E Lead at IHRGA, she designs trauma-informed psychosocial intervention frameworks, leads empirical research on rural mental health, and establishes rigorous, survivor-centered M&E systems across conflict and resource-extraction settings in North-Central Nigeria.

Her work addresses the cognitive, emotional, and systemic burdens borne by Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs) and structurally excluded women. By pioneering feminist task-shifting methodologies such as training grassroots climate advocates in Psychological First Aid (PFA) empowering women with the ability to understand traumatic stress and healing. she decentralizes mental health care to ensure frontline defenders build psychological resilience against eco-grief, state and corporate intimidation, and movement burnout

Martins Apie is an ANAN-certified Finance and Operations Specialist with over six years of progressive expertise in NGO financial management, grant compliance, budget architecture, and operational oversight. At IHRGA, he leads the organization's fiscal governance framework, ensuring that every grant dollar from international donors to localized funds. Highly skilled in financial management with uncompromising transparency, regulatory compliance, and donor integrity.

Martins excels in translating complex grant parameters into sound operational budgets, maintaining internal controls, and overseeing end-to-end payment processing, tax/statutory remittances, and audit readiness. Leveraging advanced data analytics and financial modeling, he safeguards IHRGA’s financial health, ensuring grassroots programs are backed by resilient fiscal structures.

Victor Ugochukwu is the research officer for IHGRA, His research scope and interests span across engineering, climate science, data science, policy and development studies. He has contributed in the area of documenting and driving research analysis for the organization’s projects.

Miss Haruna is a passionate and multi-talented individual with growing experience in creative and customer-facing roles. She currently works as a hair stylist and sales representative at a provision store, while also nurturing her craft as an emerging writer and poet.
Maimuna aspires to become a globally recognized poet and writer, using her voice to inspire, empower, and advocate for the unheard. Her future ambitions also include building a career in graphic design and modeling, as well as establishing an orphanage to support vulnerable children.

Jessica Wueseter Kwaghsor is a driven student entrepreneur and aspiring legal professional currently pursuing a degree in Law. With a strong interest in amicable dispute resolution, she aims to specialize in Arbitration as her area of legal practice.
