SEXUAL & GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE (SGBV)
Our Target:
Enhance the capacity of local stakeholders to address SGBV effectively and empower 1,000 women and girls, including forcibly displaced persons, by 2030.
Our efforts in this domain focus on:
- Policy Engagement: Engaging policymakers through advocacy and capacity strengthening to support the localization of policies and laws that address all forms of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), particularly for forcibly displaced persons. This ensures that legislation is effective and culturally relevant.
- Building Women’s Agency: Empowering women and girls, including those who are forcibly displaced, through economic opportunities and knowledge acquisition to reduce their vulnerability to SGBV. By enhancing their agency, we help them assert their rights and access necessary resources.
- Campaigns Against SGBV: Leading awareness campaigns aimed at combating sexual and gender-based violence, with a focus on the unique challenges faced by displaced populations. These campaigns educate communities, challenge harmful norms, and promote a culture of respect and safety.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partnering with various sectors to facilitate access to support services for survivors of SGBV, particularly among forcibly displaced individuals. This includes healthcare, legal assistance, and psychological support, ensuring comprehensive care for survivors.
